Olfactory Experiments

It is 2019. I am doing my MFA Masters in Fine Arts at the Paris College of Art. I am looking deeply into each of the five senses. The first sense that I am delving into is that of smell because it is the most attuned of all my senses.
Apart from looking into the science and functioning of the nose, nose and brain together, aromatherapy and perfumery, I am looking to artists using scent in their works, and looking at new ways of bringing scent into art and galleries. These are a few pictures of mini experiments and the start of a book on the olfactory, as part of my explorations. |
