DOING WHAT WE WANT
These illustrations are some of the illustrations that went into making the book Doing What We Want: An Alphabet Book for Girls. The illustrations are based on little girls from all over the world working in areas and careers that are typically male dominant. The illustrations were initially sketched in pencil. They were then outlined on a light table and inked using thick calligraphic ink. The inked images were scanned into Adobe Photoshop where they were then coloured and collaged to create full illustrated compositions. Finally effects were added to enhance the illustrations.
