Cusicoyllur - The Tale of an Incan Princess

Based on historical folklore from Peru.

This film was created using over 60 hand crafted puppets made out of paper and wire. The film was shot at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design on a old animation multi-plane camera stand and shot in high resolution on a Canon camera. Multi-coloured light bulbs were used to get a specific ambient effect. Animation effects for the film were created using hand drawn animation techniques. The film was edited in Final Cut Pro. Sound effects and sound recordings were created at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design. The film was exhibited for the first time at the Animation Graduate Show in May of 2008 at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design.
